Orange County Education Foundation Awards 2025-26 Teacher Innovation Grants

Every year, the OCEF awards grants directly to our Orange County Teachers for innovative and creative subject area projects. This year, fifteen teachers were awarded grants.

2025 Celebration of Education

The Orange County Education Foundation held the 2025 Celebration of Learning event on October 5, 2025 at the Pavilion at Lakeland Farms in Orange, Virginia. This year, the foundation honored long time Orange County educator, Jesse Magruder, with our Lifetime Achievement Award. In addition, the foundation also recognized Dr. Janet Gullickson, the President of Germanna Community College, as a Friend of Education. Congratulations to these amazing educators who have inspired thousands of students to pursue excellence and achieve their dreams!

Orange County Education Foundation Awards Annual Scholarships and Grants

On May 14,2025, during Awards Night at the Orange County High School, the OCEF awarded $109,500 in Scholarships and Grants to 24 deserving OCHS graduates. Several OCEF board members were there to present these special awards to our students from the 13 scholarship and grant accounts managed by the OCEF and invested with the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation. Orange County Education Foundation donates $10,000 to the Locust Grove Middle School and Prospect Middle School CTE programs

Orange County Education Foundation Awards Ongoing CTE Grants

The Orange County Education Foundation is pleased to announce 2 new $10,000 tech grants being made to Locust Grove Middle and Prospect Heights Middle Schools! The individual $10,000 grants are made directly to each school and CTE and tech teachers at each school are invited to submit project proposals aimed at providing our students with new, innovative and creative CTE projects. These grants are in addition to over $50,000 in direct grants awarded previously to our OC schools for similar CTE projects in addition to the OCEF’s Scholarship and Teacher Innovation Grant programs.

Orange County Education Foundation Enters New Partnership with Burger King

Come join us! Starting Tuesday July 15th, and every third Tuesday evening thereafter, the Town of Orange Burger King will conduct a fund raiser for the OCEF from 5:00 to 8:00 pm! Both Burger King and the OCEF are excited about their new partnership and the positive effect it will have by providing financial assistance to our students, our OC teachers and our OC schools! We both look forward to an ongoing, productive and mutually beneficial partnership and invite all our friends, colleagues and supporters to be with us!

Our Mission is to build a community partnership among schools, families, and businesses to provide resources, inspire innovation, and enhance opportunities for teachers and students of the schools of Orange County, Virginia.
